Action

--Student Assembly to be held 2 p.m. at Public Space One Saturday  11-12-2011 

--Proposal- OIC endorse SEIU 199 Rally at City Park- Park Road Bridge 11-17-2011  Passed

--Future Actions-  Solidarity action with Occupy Cedar Rapids concerning military drone production.   Solidarity action directed towards Farm Bureau with Occupy Des Moines.

Food & Water

--Developing onsite calender and google  calender  to organize meal donations.

--Developing schedule for offsite dish washing.

Culture

--Gained more members

-- Proposal:  Tuesday Cultural event be protest songs and writing of OIC specific protest songs. - Passed

Agenda

Discussion on fixing arctic tent.  Friday or Saturday

--Proposal:  Allow crew to buy materials to fix tent that can not be solicited as donations.  Not to exceed $100  - Passed.

Discussion on Budget Items

--$20 for button making supplies - Donated by Steve and Stephany

--IRENEW has second solar panel available which needs battery - Mauro knows of possible contributor- will contact.

Discussion was held on moving GA indoors next Sunday for inter-camp dialogue about how to work through issues that arise between those who are not able to come to camp due to cold and those who are camping or active at camp.   Proposal did not pass.

--Discussion was held on arranging a moderated meeting outside of GA for discussion of issues rather than having a GA devoted to this subject.  

Announcements

Action orchestrated an "Occupy Flash Video" tonight at 6:30 p.m. on the wall of the Wells Fargo building downtown.   Future videos can be submitted to Occupy Your Senses on Facebook. 

Armistice Day Event TOMORROW at 11 a.m.  on the sidewalk of Clinton Street.  Occupiers are encouraged to attend. 

Action will have an off-site meeting pertaining to Farm Bureau action.  Details TBA

Scattergood Friends School has invited us to join in their Peace Walk Sunday, November 13th.   The walk will begin at Scattergood School in West Branch and end at Old Brick.   They will be coming into Iowa City on Rochester Ave around 1 p.m.

The City has retracted approval of the propane heater which was purchased by OIC.   Exploratory committee is addressing this issue.

Student Assembly Saturday is open to all ages.  Also student group is organizing a student strike for November 17th 2011.   Students will leave class and sit on the steps to the capitol.  All are welcome to join students.
